As a storyteller, I help tell stories, or another way to put it is I do “content writing.”
What kinds of content writing do I do?
I write all types of content. Most often, I team up with groups who are short (or under) staffed, or those who need an outsider’s perspective on their work.
Content writing comes in all forms and fashions, but I typically work on these types of projects:
- Emails for email marketing (donor appeals, invitations, etc.)
- Magazine articles
- Blog posts
- Press releases
- Website content
- Social media campaigns
Sometimes I jump in and serve mostly by writing content. Other times I help project manage the campaign and provide content, too.
Do I edit, too?
I have served as an editor on many publications and provide editing support when I’m tasked with a content writing project. However, I’m not a designated proofreader. If you’re looking for these services, let me know. I’ve got an outstanding referral for you.
Do I do social media?
I use social media often and encourage brands to use it. When creating content, I often write for the various social media platforms. However, I do not manage social media accounts on behalf of clients. However, if you’re looking for a resource for this I have another outstanding referral for you.
Do I only do professional content writing?
Not at all – in fact my personal writing opened the door for professional writing and client work!
I am a blogger at heart and maintain active social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I’m a published devotional author and have written several published articles. I published my first book in Nov. 2018, an advent devotional.
My personal writing is focused on topics relating to cancer (I’m a colon cancer survivor), adoption, family, and the Christian faith.
