I’m in the middle of an epic “teachable moment,” lecturing my daughter about needing swimming lessons although she’s comfortable enough to not drown when it hit me:

I needed the lecture, too.

This is the moment that sparked my latest post on the 936 Pennies blog!

Parenting is full of gemstones, but one of my favorite (although often not in the moment) is learning God’s heart for me. As my words flow out toward my child, I can often hear Him teaching me the same things.
